Information on Social Software
I’m scheduled to present a paper/seminar on technology uses by Extension Community Development Professionals at the NACDEP conference this upcoming February. Related to this and future presentations, I’ve spent the last several months trying to keep up to speed on social software. Here are two good, brief overviews. First, from Wikipedia comes this definition. Next, from The Virtual Handshake comes this pdf version of a slide presentation introducing the topic of social software. As a side note, the book The Virtual Handshake is a good investment and well worth the reading time.
